A Lot To Learn

by Duncan Jones

I was in the ocean just so I could see

When a giant shark came face to face with me

And I waited there and thought that I was done

But she laughed, and then she told me I could run

And “By the way … I’m not the scary one

No, you’ve still got a lot to learn my son ...”

And then I knew that she was right, right

As she turned back to the night, night

I was all alone …

And I knew that she was right

I was walking in the grass so I could see

When a lone gazelle passed just in front of me

And I asked her do you think that we should run?

She laughed and said, “I think it would be fun!”

And “By the way … I’m not the fastest one

No, you’ve still got a lot to learn my son ...”

And then I knew she was right, right

And she turned back to the night, night

I was all alone …

And I knew that she was right

I was in the jungle just so I could see

When a silverback stood up in front of me

And I waited there and thought that I was done

But he laughed, and then he told me I could run

And “By the way … I’m not the strongest one

No, you’ve still got a lot to learn my son ...”

And then I knew he was right, right

And he turned back to the the night, night

I was all alone …

And I knew that he was right
