The Dangerous Cycle

by Duncan Jones

He used to like the tall grass

Afraid if monsters tried to fight

Until one day he vowed

To be the beast that owns the night

But that's not who he was

He was the happy one

Meant for fun

Meant to run and run and run

He ventured out into the wild

To slowly test his show

And soon enough he found

That he was a name to know

But that's not who he was

He was the clever one

Meant to run

Meant to run and run and run

Now when he fights he smiles

And there's vicious in his eyes

He laughs now at the tall grass

And no one even tries

But that's not who he was

He was the sweetest one

Meant for fun …

Meant to run and run and run

All the monsters keep their distance

Hope he never wants a fight

And one by one they vow

To be the beast that owns the night ...
